DONATIONS
Relying on contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations, the Myasthenia Gravis
Foundation of California is a grassroots organization that uses volunteers to accomplish duties
from fund raising to patient service. Fund raising costs are below 10%, which means that
maximum funds reach their intended purpose – research into the cause and cure of MG and
valuable MG patient programs. Your tax-deductible donation enables MGFC to fund research
at California universities each year, to provide continuing education for medical professionals
about MG; to offer MG patients an MG Drug Bank that provides life-saving medications at the
lowest possible cost, free MG Clinics at several hospitals, MG patient support groups, physician
referrals and patient education and information materials and seminars.
There are many ways to make a tax-deductible contribution to the Myasthenia Gravis
Foundation of California:
A general donation earmarked for basic operations.
A memorial donation in memory of a loved one.
An honorarium to celebrate a special occasion involving a family member or friend.
A donation of a car, truck, motorcycle, RV (we accept vehicles through - Cars For Causes).
A bequest through a will or trust.
A gift of stocks or other appreciated securities.

DONATE IN MEMORY OR CELEBRATION
A special way to remember someone or to celebrate a special event helping MG patients and
MG research is to donate in memory or in celebration of one of life’s special hallmarks – a
birthday, anniversary, graduation or religious event. An acknowledgement will be sent to the
individual (or in the case of in memoriam, to the deceased’s family) you are honoring or
remembering.
