Our Office Manager
To many MG patients, Melisa Pangilinan is the voice of the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of
California. They often comment on Melisa’s encouraging demeanor. Now they can put the
name, the voice and the pretty face together.
Born in Manila, Philippines, and residing in the United Sates for 15 years, Melisa joined MGFC
almost 12 years ago. Since then, the formerly shy and terribly private young woman has
overseen MG patient care, education and support. Her duties include physician referral, patient
support and education and even fundraising. She is often the first person a patient talks to at the
Foundation, where she sends information packets, refers patients to doctors and clinics, handles
the Drug Bank and coordinates Auxiliary meetings.
She handles the day to day operations of the office, along with scheduling volunteers, assisting
all of our patient support groups, and Founder's Dinners.
Her hobbies are cooking, reading, movies and music. She lives in Downey with her husband,
Gil.
